Our Story
The name Roselle comes from a happy place of my childhood - Roselle Avenue, my grandparents home in the San Joaquin Valley of California. Great enchilada sauce has been shared in our family since I was a young girl. I have fond memories of my mothers enchiladas, the most requested meal among our extended family members and the favorite of my brother and I. As I started my own family I began experimenting with the recipe my mother used, making adaptions to create the sauce I bring to you today.
I love to feed people. I love to inspire others to cook. Making Roselle enchilada sauce available to you feels like I’m ‘coming over’ to make you a delicious meal. Roselle Homemade is a nostalgic nod to the very thing I hope to inspire: cherished times with people you love and memories of home and good food. I dream of encouraging quality time around the dinner table. Cook, sit down, eat together - at home. Take a pause from the hectic pace of life, connect, pamper yourself with a well deserved homemade meal in your cozy kitchen.
I envision our sauce in the kitchens of busy mothers, hurried families with fast paced lives, young couples learning to cook together, college students with minimal ingredient supplies and individuals with demanding careers - anyone who loves a great meal at home but doesn’t have a lot of time to cook. Roselle makes it possible to have a homemade, super tasty, satisfying meal on the table in 30-45 minutes with very little work.
Our sauce is simmered slowly with quality ingredients. The result is authentic, irresistibly delicious enchilada sauce like nothing you have ever found on a grocery store shelf. For enchiladas, whether chicken, beef, cheese, potato - it is TRIED AND TRUE. But get creative.
